Residential Services

South Shore Mental Health has been committed to providing quality residential services in the community for over twenty years. Our comprehensive programs throughout Southeastern Massachusetts promote independent living and community involvement for adults diagnosed with mental illness.

Residential Services for Individuals with Mental Illness
1431 Hancock Street, Quincy

Our residences for adults with mental illness offer a wide range of choices from living independently with minimal staff support, to living with close supervision for those who need more assistance. Individuals are encouraged to become active in local and community activities. Our staff are highly trained in meeting the needs of individuals with challenging behavioral, psychiatric, and medical issues. Residences are located in various residential neighborhoods throughout the South Shore. Individuals are referred to residential services through the Department of Mental Health.

Intensive Community Support Beds
12 Hancock Court, Quincy

Three Intensive Community Support Beds offer adults referred by the Department of Mental Health residential support while they attempt to locate permanent housing. This program accommodates individuals who are transitioning from a hospital setting back into the community, and those who, for one reason or another, have lost their housing and need the supports provided by the program to transition into a new living situation.

A Clinical Care Coordinator is assigned to each individual to make sure he or she connects with appropriate services and follows through with scheduled appointments. Staff are experienced in monitoring medications, providing transportation, and offering individuals the support they need. Individuals choose how they will structure their time between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. This may include day treatment, work, or other alternatives.
