Naming of Campus: $250,000
Step One Early Intervention Campus will have a Learning Center, Administrative Offices and an Outdoor Play Area located in the Squantum neighborhood of Quincy at 2 and 16 Moon Island Road.
Outdoor Play Area: $100,000
A state of the art outdoor area specifically designed for toddlers will provide the opportunity for exercise, the development of
motor skills, and social interaction.
Movin and Groovin Room: $75,000
An indoor activity center with a sandbox, climbing structure, ball pool and other gross motor equipment will provide the opportunity for exercise, the development of motor skills, and social interaction.
Reception and Welcome Center: $75,000
The Reception Center for children, families and visitors will create a warm and inviting entry to the program.
Office of the Program Director: $50,000
This is an office of great activity and is visited by parents, staff, and program supporters.
Classrooms (4): $50,000 each
Services are provided in the classrooms by our infant/toddler specialists, including developmental educators; social workers; psychologists; physical, occupational and speech therapists; nurses; and music therapists. The classrooms offer a structured learning environment with many opportunities for children to choose activities, play, and interact with peers.
Jumpin and Jammin Room: $50,000
Children will have the opportunity to hear music, sing, and play instruments. Music introduces children to the sounds and meanings of words and helps them connect with their feelings, and to feel good about themselves. Music stimulates all of the senses and facilitates development.
Conference Room: $50,000
This room will enable many activities; functioning as a meeting place for staff, families and collaborating agencies.
Supervisors Offices (2): $25,000 each
The supervisors are critical to the children's learning, growing and success. These highly trained professionals supervise an interdisciplinary team of professionals who address the immediate and specific needs of individual children and families. They and their staff also collaborate with childcare providers to increase their willingness and ability to include children with special needs into their programs.
Parent's Room: $25,000
This space is for parents to interact with their children with support from the professional staff. Activities include movement groups, infant massage and parent-child feeding groups.
Enrollment Office: $25,000
Families will enroll their children in the program and be introduced to the services of the Step One program.
Assistant Director's Office: $25,000
The Assistant Director oversees the provision of services to children and families assuring that the children’s educational plans are appropriate to their development. The Assistant Director provides direct services to clients and consultation to staff and program interns.
Staff Lounge: $25,000
The lounge serves as a lunch and relaxation area for staff.
Educational Supervisor Office: $15,000
The Education Supervisor supervises the provision of group service, ensures compliance with licensing requirements, and directs the Regional Consultation Program, providing consultation and training for parents and providers of children with special health care needs.
Staff Work Areas (6): $15,000 each
Six work space areas with 30 workstations for staff to contact families, collaborate with other team members, and medical and child care providers, and complete paperwork to ensure compliance with Department of Public Health operational standards and due process regulations.
