Human Rights Committee South Shore Mental Health values the human rights of all individuals we serve and is committed to ensuring that these rights are respected. Every program of SSMH is assigned a human rights officer who regularly reports to our Human Rights Committee. This committee, which is comprised of volunteers including parents, clients, and members of the community, must at all times include a psychologist, attorney, and nurse. The mission of the Human Rights Committee is to help ensure that every individual participating in a program run by SSMH receives humane care and treatment and is allowed freedom of choice.
