Excellent opportunity exists for a creative, energetic, hands-on, seasoned HR Generalist to be part of the Senior Management Team at South Shore Mental Health, a successful $25m community mental health organization with over 500 employees located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. FOUNDATIONS

SOCIAL WORKER/TEAM BUILDER-QUINCY-FULL-TIME 08/22/08 PO

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Team Builder provides direct services to children, teens and families within the Foundations program. Provide office and home-based family therapy, case management, group development and leadership, provide parent guidance, and provide school consultation on behalf of individuals. In addition, facilitates family focused treatment team meetings, attend staff meetings and trainings, and carry out special projects under the direction of the Program Director. Must be willing to travel to outside agency sites, community schools, hospitals, etc. throughout the South Shore and Eastern Massachusetts. Must be able to provide safe transportation to individuals throughout our service area. Requires LICSW. Internship or professional experience with children and youth with serious emotional disturbance. Experience participating on interdisciplinary treatment teams. Interest in a wraparound, flexible and resiliency focus of treatment for families.

DISCOVERY DAY TREATMENT PROGRAM

STAFF CLINICIAN - QUINCY - TWO FULL-TIME PO

Under the direction of the Program Director, a staff clinician at the Discovery Day Treatment Program is part of a multi-disciplinary team which provides quality clinical care to consumers with serious and persistent mental illnesses and/or who are suffering serious disturbances in life functioning due to a psychiatric problem. The program philosophy is that staff clinicians will help consumers by educating them about their symptoms and aide them in developing better coping skills through the use of group therapy in a structured, scheduled day and by the development of a goal oriented treatment plan. A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field and experience working with adults with mental illness is required.

ADMINISTRATION

VICE PRESIDENT OF REHABILITATION AND CRISIS-QUINCY-40 HOURS/WEEK-08/01/08

South Shore Mental Health, a premier mental health organization providing community based and recovery focused mental health services to consumers in the metropolitan Boston, South Shore and Cape Cod region, is recruiting for an experienced professional to assume the role of Vice President of Rehabilitation and Emergency Services. Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, this individual will provide executive leadership and management as a member of the Senior Management Team and be responsible for the design and development of an integrated system of care focusing on psychiatric recovery and rehabilitation. The Vice-President will be responsible for the supervision of program managers and the daily management and operation of multiple programs including outpatient behavioral health, day treatment, PACT, community residences, community support, child and family services and a 24-hour psychiatric emergency team. Responsibilities include leadership in the integration of recovery strategies into service delivery, coordination of activities among administrative and clinical departments; preparation and monitoring of the annual budget; and assuring quality and continuity of care. A critical function is liaison with purchasers of services including the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. Key qualifications include demonstrated success in project and operational management, experience in management of payer relations and leadership experience over multiple programs/services and sites. Advanced clinical degree, a minimum of five years management and administrative experience, preferably in a mid sized healthcare organization, ability to work collaboratively across the organization, strong communication and leadership skills required.

PSYCHIATRIST-QUINCY-20 HOURS/ WEEK-05/09/08

Exceptional opportunity for an Adult Psychiatrist for our Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Program. Assertive community treatment is a service-delivery model for providing comprehensive community-based treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The psychiatrist shares responsibility with the team leader to monitor each client's clinical status and response to treatment, as well as supervise staff delivery of clinical services. The Psychiatrist needs to be board certified or board eligible in psychiatry and is licensed to practice medicine.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

TRIAGE MENTAL HEALTH WORKER -UP TO $13.35 PER HOUR-PER-DIEM - QUINCY-OVERNIGHT AND/OR WEEKEND SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Works with CSU/Respite Director to provide and document specialized care to consumers in a 24-hour crisis stabilization setting. Responsible for facilitating and participating in individual treatment planning, recreational, therapeutic, and coping activities; encourages consumer health through proper diet and activities of daily living; and maintains a secure, safe setting. Responsible for assisting the Crisis Intervention Team in triaging phone calls. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field required. One year experience in an acute mental health setting and/or previous experience working in child crisis stabilization unit is preferred. Requires valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for consumer transportation.

Great opportunity exists for a Master's Level clinician to work with our Community Outreach Services. This program works with children experiencing emotional difficulties and their families who are unable to attend appointments at an outpatient clinic. Services are provided in homes or school settings. School services include consultations with teachers and personnel, in-service training to help identify children at risk, and how to follow up with referrals. By observing families in a home setting, team members are able to create a treatment plan in response to the type of supports available. Requires Masters Degree in Social Work or related field.
