About Us

South Shore Mental Health is a private, non-profit comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization providing mental health and substance abuse services for people of all ages throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod.

Our continuum of services includes outpatient counseling, medication, intensive outpatient programs, early intervention, day treatment, residential services, twenty-four hour emergency services, and crisis stabilization.

Our multidisciplinary staff of over 850 full and part-time individuals offer expertise in meeting the needs of children and families, adults, people with long-term mental illness, and people with developmental disabilities. We have extensive experience working with insurance and managed care companies, and providing employee assistance programs for businesses. We are able to provide easy access to needed services.

At South Shore Mental Health, we have a long tradition of working together with public and private partners to help over 7,000 individuals per year in our community.
